Plenty of drama on and off the field this week!
First things first.. a brief rundown of the winners. The morning games on Sunday were interesting. It was nice to see “Den-Den” and “Chiefs fnsuck” record steady positive picks with 6 of 9 correct for 67%. It looked like clear sailing going into the afternoon games.
But wait there’s more…
The afternoon games perplexed everybody except “Child Please” and “Cadillac Pimping” who BLEW AWAY THE GROUP with unbelievable results.
“Child Pls” gained an outstanding 6 of 6 100% correct on his afternoon picks, while “Cadillac Pimping” was a very close 2nd for the afternoon with 5 of 6, 83%..Now thats how to pick-em..I haven’t deduced the secret yet, but I’m not ruling out gypsy fortune tellers or special massages while John and Jimmy are thinking about the winners.
Last weeks top player, “Topcat2″ is 7 of 15 , 47%, looking into Monday night and “MrsF” struggled to gain ground this week, as computer problems caused a near fiasco as she was unable to post her morning picks before the games locked out. She posted her picks in the forum and emailed her picks but failed to continue her high level correct from the previous week. Both players continued with solid, good, level headed picks. No prizes, but another week of good results for them.
A word about upsets…
I looked back to see who was the brave souls taking the underdogs against the group and winning.
I guess the upset games that stand out in my mind are the Detroit game, and the Cincinnati v. Pitt games. “Child Please” was correctly picking the underdogs to kick ass on both.” Topcat” and I joined in the Detroit game picking underdog with sucess. The mighty, mighty “Duroc” joined “Child Please” as the only two members to pick the underdog Cincinnati Bengals home upset. Its a lot of fun to be the only one or two in the group going against every other person in the group and the WORLD who thinks the opposite, and be RIGHT! Those picks will put you ahead of the pack fast!
I’m not counting the Indy “upset” against Arizona for obvious reasons. 1.) I don’t know why Indy was the underdog anyway and 2.) about half the group picked the favorite, and the other half picked the underdog.
With that.. I need to get going to the golf course for my usual Monday game with the guys. So, check in after the game starts and see if we have any funny splits..
